The first DLC collection for Call of Duty: Ghosts has been confirmed! It's called Onslaught and it contains four multiplayer maps, a new chapter for Extinction, and a new weapon: The Maverick, a hybrid of an assault rifle and a sniper rifle. Onslaught will appear on Xbox platforms on January 28th, with other platforms to follow later (when I hear a date, I will pass it along). If you have signed up for a Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass, you'll be able to download Onslaught the day it becomes available on your platform -- don't accidentally buy it twice, because that's a mess.

This video offers a lot of interesting information, so take a few minutes to check it out:

I like that the maps are going to be a bit smaller in scope -- I enjoy close quarters battles, and while Stonehaven is absolutely gorgeous, I do feel like I'm going for a run in the Scottish highlands. Also, the Michael Meyers field order on Fog just blows my mind -- I did not expect that but I'm eager to try it out. I'm also happy to see Scrapyard return in a fresh new form.
