Black Ops – Wager Match

One of the things revealed tonight was the Wager Matches — four new gametypes where you bet in-game currency against other players as to who will finish in the top three. It’s your skills against theirs in four matches, which are explained in this video (which was also shown at the presentation):

I know I’m doomed — my money will be gone in an instant. But it will be fun trying to win it back. What’s your take?

An interesting addition to multi-player, for sure, but there’s no way on Earth that I’d be in the top tier in one of these modes.

Perhaps if I were playing my Terrier, Minnie, I’d stand a chance (she prefers racing games)…

There have really only been a couple of games that have drawn me away from Guitar Hero, (Borderlands & Blur) and Modern Warfare 2 felt a little waterdown compared to CoD4:MW but CoD:BOps looks like a CoD game that I will enjoy and keep me away from other games for a while on the campaign and with these, IMO, much need additions to the multiplayer, will ultimately kill my GH playing days for at least maybe 2 weeks. Overall, I am impressed and seems like a sure fire win in the FPS department this fall.
