So very long ago.
I was excited when I heard Soundgarden was getting back together. I was more excited when I found out that their first new single in 10 years, “Black Rain,” was going to be in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. But now USA Today has the scoop on something that I don’t think anybody’s ever done before: The first million copies of the Warriors of Rock in North America come with Soundgarden’s new album, Telephantasm – and that album, which is a retrospective featuring the band’s biggest hits, won’t be commercially available for another week. You not only get it free, you get it early.
CORRECTION: Plus, the whole album will also be available as DLC at launch as well, so you can play everything from Telephantasm in the game on day one if you want to buy the DLC pack as well. However, standard DLC rates apply — you do not get the DLC free as I’d previously posted — I read the press release wrong. Pricing on the Telephantom DLC pack is to be announced.
