I updated the article to clarify after speaking with Marvel's Chris Baker: every outfit is unlockable through gameplay except for the Cosmic four-pack, which is exclusive to GameSpot.

Thanks for catching that, as you are right and my article was not clear.

I will check that out to find out if they are all eventually unlockable in the game. There's no way to unlock Jazz or Demolishor in TFWfC so I thought it was the same setup — and the phrasing on the Cosmic slide is very specific, so I wonder if it's a similar thing to TF.

Can you share your source for confirmation on the Iron Spider thing? I'm not doubting it and the text on the slide does support what you say — I just hadn't heard it and want to make sure I go get confirmation knowing what's been said where.

every one of the preorder costumes (Cosmic from GameStop excluded) says "get a code to unlock immediately".

I take it that this means Negative Zone & Scarlet Spider are unlockable within the game just as Iron Spider-Man has been confirmed to be. You just get early access by pre-ordering them.

This would mean that only the Cosmic costumes could be potential DLC at a later time. (Not speculating at all on Mangaverse & Armor Spidey)

The interesting part is whether or not BestBuy & Kmart will have anything to go along with their bonus since Amazon comes with that sweet art book....hmmmm
