Playing With Swords: TF:WfC PS3 7/30

by Dan on July 30, 2010

On this week’s podcast, I asked Matt Tieger if there would be another double XP weekend for Transformers: War for Cybertron any time soon. He said yes, but didn’t want to say when.

It’s tomorrow.

So, in support of that surprise announcement, I’ll jump on TF:WfC on PlayStation 3 Friday night at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern and play for about two hours. (Hey 360 gamers, you can play with the developers themselves Thursday night, so no complaints!)  I will have the recently released DLC (which includes Scattershot there on the right) but of course you don’t need to have bought it to play along. However, last time I did a game session right after DLC was announced, most people did have it and much fun was had, but I never want to make owning the DLC a Barricade for entry (see what I did there?!??!)

That said, you might watch my Twitter feed. I have asked for a few PS3 DLC codes to give away in honor of the event, and it looks like they’ll be ready Friday.

The Facebook event reminder is here. See you online!

Heres an Idea how about the mvp of your games gets some recognition?

I have spent very little time in TF multiplayer on any system. I am also playing several other games, both for work and for pleasure, so my online rankings are pretty bad across the board.

But since you can play as a level 1 and still have fun, I figure, who really cares?

Great to hear Hugh again. I actually very much appreciate his take on the news/events. Sure, it may not be 'suitable for all ages', but it's definitely sincere and informed. In my book, that speaks volumes. I hope One of Swords continues for as long as Dan finds fulfillment and enjoyment out of it. And I hope also that we continue to get Hugh's dark humor at least every other podcast.
