You down with GDC?

by Dan on March 4, 2010

Next week is the 2010 Game Developer’s Conference, held in San Francisco at the Moscone Center as is the annual tradition. If you aspire to make games for a living, then GDC is the place to be. Lots of great panels, lots of very enlightening post-mortems, and most importantly, lots of people who are looking to hire people like you.

If you’re headed there — or if you’re looking for an excuse to go — make sure you check out Activision’s recruitment booth, South Hall #2526, in the career pavilion. You will have the chance to meet with production staff and recruiters from Activision’s studios (plural!) and show them your work. These are the real people who can really help you get a job, for real. Schmoozetacular!

Before you go, check out the Careers page for an idea of what jobs are open, where they exist (you might be surprised to see some of the locales where Activision has outposts), and how you can apply.

Other than that, be polite, be yourself, and be there.
