One of Swords Podcast 000: The Introduction

OneOfSwords.com will incoporate a proper podcast, but to kick things off, I made a short audio file to establish the RSS/iTunes feeds and make sure I wasn’t screwing it up. So feel free to subscribe; the first “show” is just some basic info about how all the other shows should go!

I set the show up on Feedburner and I am officially on iTunes. I have submitted the feed to Zune Marketplace but it seems like anybody can do that anonymously and I’ll just have to keep checking back to see if they accept it.

Any advice on where (and more importantly how) I should list this sucker in different podcast directories? The syndication stuff is new to me so I’m learning as I go.

    For us Zune Users the link to Feedburner works as a copy paste url. Or I guess the Rss feed would work too.

    I figure Zune folks can use the standard feed, but I was kind of hoping to get into the Marketplace, like iTunes, just for the convenience to Zune users. In theory, anybody who wants it can get it at the standard RSS feed, that's totally true.

    You should contact Rob Greenlee (Rob@zune.net) over at Microsoft to make sure the podcast gets featured on the Zune marketplace.

    Oh, and are you making the podcast on your own, or do you have super-producer Andy Bauman helping you out? I remember you saying you'd like him working with you on future podcasts.

    I checked the Zune Marketplace and still cannot find the feed. Can it be resubmitted?

    Glad your gonna be doing podcast with all these diffrent developers. I actually missed you on the KOXM podcast lol. The geek in me is showing through now isn't it?
